Oscar and Rita are a couple of Calabrian origin who contacted us to photograph their wedding in Scilla in the province of Reggio Calabria. Upon our arrival we dedicated ourselves to do some photos to set the wonderful scenery in front of which we found ourselves. Rita and Oscar got ready in the same house but in different areas with the windows overlooking the clear sea and the brightly colored boats. It was great to be able to portray Rita with the background of that infinite blue expanse. Rita reached the village church with her dad on board of an Apetta, a traditional Italian vehicle of the 1950s. Oscar was on the altar waiting for her to deliver the bouquet, according to their tradition. The orange and peach pink flowers were placed in wicker pots that were well suited to the wooden environment of the room. Oscar and Rita with a radiant smile were overwhelmed by the rice and the warmth of their loved ones. Moving slowly away from the church we started the couple photo shoot on the rocks with the background of the colored houses and then we move, always on board of the Apetta, through the narrow alleys of the characteristic village amid the amazement of passersby. When the light went down we headed to a higher point to capture them in the frame of the beautiful and illuminated village of Scilla. Reaching their guests in the pool area for the aperitif, we moved to one of the internal rooms for the dinner. The newlyweds arrived at the cake cutting inside an incredible tunnel of sparklers organized by their guests. Following their first dance and the party in the garden of the villa.
