WEDDING IN ROME
Wedding at Villa Miani and reportage in Trastevere
Davide and Genta are an Italian-Albanian couple who celebrated the wedding in the center of Rome. Genta got ready in Anagni with her family. Thanks to the green spaces of the house, we were able to enhance the different details of the bride by capturing them in the nature. Moved at the sight of her father, she headed towards the basilica of Santa Cecilia, the church chosen by the couple for the religious rite. Davide had already arrived and had been welcomed by the warmth of Genta’s bridesmaids, all rigorously dressed in red, the color used together with the fucsia for the floral decoration. The ceremony was deeply felt by all the guests and at one point Davide went to the altar to read a dedication to his Genta. Filled with emotion, the couple set off towards the exit of the basilica where they were able to greet their guests in the patio. For their photo shoot we chose to walk on the iron bridge with the Tiber island in the background and to portray them going down under Ponte degli Angeli. The light was falling down and Rome was getting ready for the night with its romantic lights. We moved towards Villa Miani for the reception, an elegant neoclassical location in the Trionfale area. The aperitif was served on the villa's patio overlooking San Pietro and the dinner was set up inside. The decorated room was a marvel: the tables were arranged around a platform positioned for the party. After the triumphant entry of the newlyweds into the hall, it was the turn of their first dance. Genta made the change of her wedding dress and then the typical Albanian dances began. The wedding cake was prepared on the suggestive terrace overlooking a charming Rome by night.
